A strong conviction to conduct business in the most Earth friendly manner was not new for us at Unmoda. The cause of sustainability is not an imposed idea to us but is our own path of choice and commitment to ensure a future of possibility. This ethos has been fuelling our strategies, investments and operations for many decades now. And we are proud to have pioneered several industry first products, processes and practices, and of the fact that we have been making a difference at our own level.
Notwithstanding, we wanted to do more since we understood we could. We considered leveraging the evolving discipline and emerging technologies to optimize what we had been working to achieve. We also realized the need for a more comprehensive ESG driven transformation strategy given the interconnectedness between the environmental, social and governance dimensions of business. ESG is obviously the way forward for the business world, and staying ahead on this is a definite advantage. That is how we decided to bring in a specialist! The value proposition in partnering with a domain expert with diverse experience is essentially that of co-creation which assures maximizing and quickening the outcomes of all the efforts.
Looking back at what we have accomplished together in the last one year, most noteworthy of these being getting certified to be a Carbon Neutral entity and publishing our first GRI Sustainability Report, we are very glad we did!
